My First In-Person Impression – Claude Code Meetup Amsterdam
Today is my first time attending a Claude Code Community Event in person – and right at the third meetup in Amsterdam, which is explicitly marketed as expert-level. Organized by local Claude Code Ambassadors and supported by Anthropic, the event brings together developers, technical leads, and builders who are already using Claude Code intensively.
The program features advanced workflows, real production experience, and discussions on topics like agentic systems, MCP server integration, and custom toolchains – everything beyond the basics.
For me personally, it's exciting to see how other developers work with Claude Code – and of course, what I can take from it for my own projects.

This was my first Claude event that I attended in person. I made the trip of around 200 km – in retrospect, a decision I would not make again. Amsterdam is a world-class city: impressive, but also demanding and expensive. The event itself was well organized and technologically focused as expected – after all, it carried the subtitle "for Developers". The Spot the Social Hub in Amsterdam is professional and makes you want to attend more events like this. Conclusion: Events like these are a must-attend for anyone working seriously with Claude.
